I grew up in Marion with a loud and crazy family, be it laughing or trying to talk over one another (which we still do today). As a child, attending church was a priority. My parents made sure my siblings and I were in church every week and instilled the love of God in us. God saved me when I was six years old, but it wasn’t until college that I began to fully embrace my relationship with Him. I am a graduate of Western Carolina University and University of Phoenix with degrees in elementary education.
After having taught K-3 in elementary school for fifteen years, I moved to McDowell High School where I spend most of my time trying to understand teenagers and the world they live in.
I’m an aunt to six nieces and nephews whom I adore and I spend as much time with them as I can. In the rest of my free time I enjoy traveling, hiking, and camping with friends. My small group says I’ve had more jobs than all of them combined, but I enjoy working at Grace most of all as the Preschool Director.
